The Dilmah Exceptional is here!!!! It arrived in 2.5 weeks in nice little box, I am impressed by the packaging, I was expecting everything to be packed in an envelope.

Mdm Cheapo has not gotten a chance to head to Johor Premium Outlets (JPO). But would definitely hope to check it out despite the many adverse comments on it being not worth it. 
From experience at the US premium outlets, it is always better to head there during special occassions, Mother's Day Sale, National Day Sale etc.

Best Deal: Flowers for New Year - $4 to $6 per pot!

Found Thong Hup Gardens at Jalan Bahar selling a large variety of potted plants during the CNY festive seasons, all with very auspicious names too. There's a wide range of flowers and all going for cheap! Pots of pretty flowers are going for as low as $4 per pot. Mdm Cheapo bought a 6 pots for CNY last weekend in the evening!

DIY - 4 step CNY Decorations!

Well, instead of posting best deals to buy new year decorations, I shall share with everyone how to make your very own for FREE! 
This is also when you will start to notice the ang baos your children collect and use them for next year's deco. I always collect the old ang bao and when i see those with lots of gold on them I get excited as they make very good candidates to make CNY decorations. 


Here's a very simple one for the plants & pussy willow you have at home. Enjoy:
