This is also when you will start to notice the ang baos your children collect and use them for next year's deco. I always collect the old ang bao and when i see those with lots of gold on them I get excited as they make very good candidates to make CNY decorations.

This is simple enough to even get your kids to help with if you have ang baos with simple straight line patterns to cut. Keep a look out for the CNY promo letters/brochures/calendars that you receive, they are good for this too!
